The Women Biotech Incubation Facility of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, is a unique core that will succour a platform for entrepreneurs. To Increase rural women access to employment is a verified strategy for contributing to their economic and social empowerment and therefore improving the livelihood of rural communities. SPMVV-WBIF gave intense information about preincubation, making creative and value added commercial products with floral waste.

Interactive Session on “BIRAC Outreach Program on Entrepreneurial Funding was held in Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) on 5th December 2020 organized by SPMVV Campus Synergy on innovation incubation Entrepreneurship (SCSIIE). The first interactive session was with DR VISHWANADHAM DUPPATLA, Associate Vice President (AVP), IKP, Hyderabad, had given an overview of BIG grant sanctioned by BIRAC and Dr. Hema, Technology transfer officer had briefed about the IPR filing guidelines. DR. VOLETI SREEDHARA, Chief Executive Officer ASPIRE-BioNEST, University of Hyderabad, had briefed the different schemes of BIRAC like SITARE, E-YUVA, for earlystage inventions and SBIRI, BIPP, PAGE for Industry-Academia collaboration.

Virtual Hackathon on COVID-19 and lockdown implications 2020
The VIRTUAL HACKATHON ON COVID-19 & LOCKDOWN IMPLICATIONS” was held on 15th and 16th May by SSIIE- Women Biotech Incubation Facility (SSIIE-WBIF) with the support of DBT-BIRAC. The programme was organized for Students, Research Scholars and Innovators from different universities on 15 problem statements to present the ideas/solutions against the problem statements. About 45 participants were registered as Teams & Individuals in the event.The keynote speaker Dr. Venkateswarlu, Managing Director, Neuheight Pharma Technologies, Hyderabad had addressed the gathering on “an overview on Covid 19” & delivered his talk on different challenges during treatment of Covid 19 influence on Corona patients. The names of prize winners were announced by the chief guest virtually. Out of 45 teams, the best 6 Ideas were selected and were awarded with cash prizes.

BIO & TECH HACKATHON 2020 was held in Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV) on 26th and 27th February by SSIIE- Women Biotech Incubation Facility (SSIIE-WBIF) with the support of DBT-BIRAC. The programme was organized for Students, Research Scholars and Innovators from different universities on focused Problem Statements collected from MHRD website. About 95 participants had registered as Teams & Individual in the event.The keynote speaker was Mr. Satyanarayana Vaddi, CEO-FinAnomics Capital, Hyderabad, Mentor, Atal Innovation Mission (NITI AYOG). He had addressed the gathering on “Startup Eco System & Role of Health Care & Life Sciences Startups”. Different finance supports can be obtained at various levels of startups and business were enlightened by speaker. Hands on Session to the participants on “Business Model Canvas (BMC)” by Ms. Madhu Manjari, Director Agri-Marketing, APMAS (Andhra Pradesh Mahila Abhivrudhi Society) was conducted. Out of 34 teams, best 3 were selected for 1st, 2nd, 3rd prizes and 2 were selected for consolation prizes.
